Mrs. Johnnie M. Dean age 89 of Huntsville, formerly of Lacey’s Spring, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at her residence in Whitesburg Gardens. She was born December 10, 1927 to John and Maude Free in Morgan County, AL. Mrs. Dean took care of her family as a homemaker. She was a member of Lacey’s Spring United Methodist Church and sang in their choir.
Mrs. Dean is survived by her daughters: Wanda (Jim) Douthit of Rainbow City, Glenda (Ronald) Wall of Knoxville, TN and Jean (Danny) Hardin of Lacey’s Spring; sister: Doris Steadham of Union Hill; grandchildren: Nikki Warren, Lynn Woodall, Emily Carter and Ashlie Hornbuckle; nine great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Dean; and siblings: Trixie Jackson, Dorothy Kent, L. D. Free, D. L. Free, J. D. Free and Carrie Russell.
Funeral Service will be Friday, December 23, 2016 at Lacey’s Spring United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM with Rev. Will Etheridge officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 PM until service time at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Lipscomb Cemetery in Lacey’s Spring. Pallbearers will be Brent Woodall, Danny Carter, Logan Carter, Blake Carter, Jared Carter and Caden Carter.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to Lacey’s Spring United Methodist Church in Mrs. Dean’s memory.
