Johnnie Logan, 84, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at his home. Johnnie was born on March 23, 1939, in Calhoun County to Buren Thomas and Lillian Grace Denton Logan. He was a retired factory owner/operator. During his retirement, he enjoyed being outdoors. He enjoyed pony-pulling, and trading, and would trade for anything. He was an avid rabbit hunter as well as other species. Johnnie loved spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the neighborhood kids. He also loved his church family.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Elizabeth Ferguson Logan; his three daughters, Susie Morgan, Pamela (Bobby) Ray, and Kristy (Marty) Warren; his two sons, Mike Logan and John Logan; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buren Thomas and Lillian Grace Denton Logan; three sisters, Mary Kathryn Sansing, Thomas Ann Easley, and Patricia Gail Craig; one brother, James Buren Logan; and one son, Gary Lynn Logan.
Services will be Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 2PM at Hopewell Baptist Church with Bro. Donald Austin officiating and Eddie Williams speaking. Visitation will be Saturday, March 9th 5-8PM at Hopewell Baptist Church and Sunday, March 10th 1PM until service time. Burial will follow in Hopewell Baptist Chruch Cemetery.
