Johnnie Joyce Hand, age 81, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Saturday, September 21st, in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield, with Mr. Michael Redfern officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jeremy Miller, Josh Reed, Justin Redfern, Jonathan Redfern, Vince Hand, Ethan Earls and Mark Hand serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 10am until time of the service at 1pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hand was born April 7, 1943, in Barren Plains, to the late J.C. Morris and the late Cecil Janie Johnson Morris. She was a hairdresser most of her life.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hand was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Hand; son, Troy Lee Hand; brothers, James Wayne Morris, and Alford Morris; and a sister, Faye Hall.
She is survived by a son, Tommy (Kim) Hand; daughters, Tina (Michael) Redfern, Terri (George) Niemann, and Teresa “Queenie” Earls; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and a sister, Abbiegail (Billy) Jackson.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
