Johnnie Jean Thompson, 90 of Arab passed away Monday, March 13, 2023, at Marshall Manor Nursing Home. Johnnie was born January 30, 1933 in Pell City the daughter of William Floyd Smith and Paralee Evans Smith. She was a retired computer programmer for the US Government and married to the late Samuel “Sam” Thompson.
She is survived by her sisters: Sarah Watlington, Doris Harrison (Pat) and Shirley Silvernail (Ken); grandchildren: Cyndie Thompson, Samantha Henderson and John Thompson; host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Sam Thompson, son: Alan Thompson, parents: William & Paralee Smith, brothers: Tommy Smith, Billy Smith and Jott Smith.
Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Arab Memorial Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
