Johnie Lurlene Rouse Sanders was born in Finger Tennessee the daughter of the late John and Harriett McCann Rouse. She attended school at Finger and graduated from Bethel Springs High School. She was married to Thomas L Sanders 57 seven years four months and 1 day ago. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church in Bethel Springs as long as her health permitted and could usually be found in the Nursery. She was a expert seamstress and also known for her cooking, especially her holiday recipes. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and acquiring hummingbird collectables. She was a “friend” to squirrels in her later years, enjoying feeding them and watching their antics. “Her children rise up and call her blessed”. She is survived by her husband Thomas L Sanders of Finger, TN; two daughters, Sherry L Ledbetter and husband Jim of Columbia, Tn, Patricia A. Wood and husband Thomas of Florence , Al; a son Thomas L Sanders, Jr , Kossuth, Ms;
a sister Diane Henson of Jackson Ms; a brother Larry Rouse of Finger, Tn; a sister in law Patricia Rouse of Finger, Tn; eight grandchildren, Katie Ledbetter, Sarah (Andy) Latimer, Adam (Anna) Wood, Eric Wood, Isaac Wood, Jared Wood, Amanda Lambertus, Joseph Sanders, three great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by sisters, Reva Rouse, Clara Neal Julian, and Imogene Rouse and a brother Robert Rouse.
