Johnathan Bradley Piper, 39, died unexpectedly July 23, 2020, at his home in Dothan, Alabama. He was born August 12, 1980 in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of Mark A. Piper, Sr. and the late Janice Matthews.
John graduated from West Jefferson High School Class of 1997. Following graduation he attended Bevill State where he earned his certification as a diesel mechanic.
John is preceded in death by his mother, Janice Matthews of Bessemer: Grandfather, John T. Piper, Jr. of Kilgore and grandparents, Jesse and Virginia Matthews of Bessemer.
Surviving in addition to his father, Mark A. Piper, Sr. of Kilgore are his brothers Mark A. Piper, Jr. and his wife, Jana, from Paradise, Texas; Joshua Blake Piper and his wife, Erin, from Trussville, Alabama; daughter Kaitlynn Chapple of McCalla; Grandmother Wanda Piper of Kilgore; and many extended family members.
A graveside service of remembrance will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2020 at Freewill Cemetery, West Jefferson, Alabama.
