Funeral services for Mr. John William Hinson Sr., age 80, will be held at 10 AM on Monday, April 18, 2022 in the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 9 AM until service time.
Mr. Hinson, a retired employee of Tyson Foods, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 in the Forest Cove Nursing Home in Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Luther and Ophelia Hinson; three brothers, Anthony Hinson, L.B. Hinson and Willie Hinson; two sisters, Nell Gilliam and Ruby Sanders; and three grandchildren, Makylon Williams, Heather Hinson and Hannah Hollingsworth.
Mr. Hinson is survived by two daughters, Lisa Hollingsworth (Ray) and Sandra Lockard; two sons, John Hinson Jr. and Michael Hinson; former wife, Diana Hinson; a sister, Louise Treadwell; fifteen grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and a great-great grandson.
