John William Brannon “Johnny”, age 87 of Addison, Alabama, entered into his eternal home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 22 surrounded by his family.
John was born to Floyd and Lola Brannon on November 7, 1936 in Addison, Alabama, where he would go on to spend the majority of his life. In June of 1958, he married the love of his life, Sarah Lois Blakely Brannon, and together they would go onto have 4 sons. He was a faithful and loving husband, father, and pawpaw. He loved the Lord greatly and dearly, and his greatest joy and delight was his family. He retired from 3M after 25 years and gained many life-long friends that he cherished. Most of his time was spent outdoors on The Brannon Farm as he was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, and farmer.
Visitation will be Monday, August 26, 2024 at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison, Alabama from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. where service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Nesmith Cemetery. Brother Mike Turner and Brother Steton Hayes will officiate.
John is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sarah Lois Blakely Brannon; sons, William Thomas (Leslie) Brannon and David Wayne Brannon; grandchildren, John Brannon, Jeffrey Brannon, Marcie Brannon, Samantha Brannon and Sarah Brannon; great-granddaughter on the way, Bellamy; brother, Lowell (Hazel) Brannon; daughter in law, Nannette Brannon.
He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Lola Brannon; sons, Sammy Ray Brannon and Jeff Allen Brannon.
