John Wesley Crawford – Obituary

John Wesley Crawford age 91 of Athens, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Crawford was born December 22, 1921 in Swifton, AR to James Thomas Crawford and Sarah Edith Lemay Crawford.
Services will be Thursday, September 19, 2013 11:00 a.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Don Davis officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery.
Mr. Crawford was a World War II Veteran of the United States Army.
Preceded in death by his parents, James and Sarah Crawford; brothers, James Orval Crawford, Vernan Crawford and Marvin Crawford.
Survived by three daughters, Joyce Hagood and husband, Henry of Athens, Glenda Bennett and husband, James of Glendale, AZ and Linda Ferrell and husband, Gene of Athens; three sisters, Kathleen Johnson of Athens, Jo Anna Hughes of Nashville, TN and Dorothy Latchem of Killen, AL; brother, Billy Crawford of Athens; grandchildren, Glenn Hagood of Athens, Penny Krell and husband, Allen of Huntsville, Cindy Miller and husband, Jeremy of Athens, Nichole Hawkins and husband, Matthew of Phoenix, AZ and Jason Bennett and wife, Tiffany of Glendale, AZ; great-grandchildren, Jarred Bennett, Jayden Bennett, Jaycob Bennett, Jacson Bennett, Hannah Hawkins, Matthew Hawkins Audrey Hawkins and Maggie Hawkins.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Jeffery, Eddie Brown, Allen Krell, Jeremy Miller, Glen Hagood, Gene Ferrell, Aaron Golden and Vernard Hagood.
