John Wayne (Nubin) Taylor was born October 18, 1940 in Ramer, TN the son of the late Johnny and Mavoureen Locke Taylor.

He was united in marriage to Jo Hurst, who preceded him in death on May 24, 2007.

Mr. Taylor was a graduate of Ramer High School. He was employed as a truck driver for Knight Sawmill in Selmer, and was an avid beekeeper and goat farmer who loved all animals. Mr. Taylor was a member of the Ramer Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Taylor departed this life on September 1, 2014 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 10 Months, 14 Days. He is survived by a son, Tim Taylor and wife Rhonda of Morris Chapel, TN; two step-sons, Gary Wilson of Beech Bluff, TN and Jeff Wilson of Bethel Springs, TN; a step-daughter, Jeannie Boyd of Southaven, MS; nine grandchildren: Colton Taylor, Cheyenne Davis, Domonique Womack, Jeremy Russom, Penny Wilbanks, Bridgette Wilkinson, Jeremy Hurst, Tara Wilson, and Amber Wilson; two great-grandchildren, Jake Womack and Lyndsey Cummins; three sisters: Shelby Jean Rimmer and husband K. D. of Bartlett, TN, Louise Jackson and husband Grady of Counce, TN, and Rhonda Hively and husband Clark of Selmer, TN; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Janet Flatt, and a step-son, Tim Wilson.
