John Wayne Busby, age 50, died in the cath lab at Jackson General Hospital Friday evening after suffering a heart attack earlier in the afternoon.
John was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Wilbur and Jona Kaye Jones Busby. He attended Chester County schools and had worked in the cafeteria at Freed-Hardeman University and also had done some summer work at Chickasaw State Park Division of Forestry. He loved to fish and was very devoted to taking care of his mother during her sickness.
He is survived by a sister Sharlene Yopp of Henderson and a brother Wilburn Ray Busby of Henderson and was preceded in death by both of his parents, a brother Tommy Allen Busby in 2002 and a sister Sharlotte Durrance in 2010.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Brother Donald Jones officiating and burial will follow at Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 11:00 AM Monday.
