John Waldrop, 53 of Arab died Friday May 19, 2023 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Mr. Waldrop was born July 29, 1969, the son of Milford and Lois Ann Dover Waldrop. He was a graduate of Fairview High School, Class of 1989. He worked in Construction, as a heavy equipment operator for Harper Excavating. In his leisure time John enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and especially the grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Alice Creed Waldrop; three daughters: Chelce Waldrop, Joanie Daniels and Renee Copeland; eight grandsons; a sister: Tina (Larry) Johnson; nephew: Chris Sivley; great niece: Kilynn Erwin; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends; he was preceded in death by his parents: Milford Waldrop and Lois Rudder.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday May 24, 2023 at Gober Funeral Chapel, burial will follow in the New Home Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Chris Sivley, Lynn Harper, Robert “Boomer” Tayler, Tommy Puser, David Creed and Chelce Waldrop.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
