John Turner “J.T.” Pike, age 79, of Graysville, passed away May 27, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Euell and Daisy Lee Parsons Pike; his first wife and the mother of his children, Brenda “Sally” Pike; brother, George Pike; sisters, Gracie Stough (Sonny), Annie Mae Hanks (Jim) and Evelyn Robbins (Robbie); brother-in-law, Milton Baker and sisters-in-law, Evelyn Pike, Sheila Fischer (Bob) and Bobbie Moore (Bud). J.T. is survived by his wife of 14 years, Donna C. Pike; daughters, Kelley Barker (Milton) and Leslie Martin (Kevin); grandchildren, Taylor Martin Estus (Adam), Rebecca Barker Permar (Gage), Jacob Martin and Taylor Barker (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Elijah and Evie Estus, Decker and Canon Permar, and Grady Barker; brothers, W.B. Pike (Sue) and Walter Pike (Eloise); brother-in-law, Charles Sullivan (Denise); sisters-in-law, Dimples Pike and Donna Baker; several nieces, nephews and extended family members and his bonus son, Dr. David Wesley (Karen), with whom he had a very special relationship. J.T. was a loving husband and father. He was member of Good Hope Baptist Church. J.T. proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a welder by trade and retired from Butler Manufacturing. J.T. and his wife Donna were members of the Western Country Dance Club. He enjoyed designing BBQ pits, metal work, golfing and yardwork but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Services to celebrate J.T.’s life will be at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Visitation will be held from 1-2pm. Funeral service will begin at 2pm followed by interment at Good Hope Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Kerry Turner officiating.
