Mr. John Thomas Whitmire, Jr., 75, of Boaz, died Friday, February 10, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center South. Service will be at eleven o’clock a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kevin Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Marshall Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 at the funeral home. Mr. Whitmire was born in Alabama on August 6, 1941 to John T. & Eunice Iva Burns Whitmire. He was a retire auto mechanic and a proud US Air Force Veteran.
Mr. Whitmire is survived by his Son & Daughter-in-Law: West & Kasey Whitmire of Boaz, Son & Daughter-in-Law: Jane Ellen & Kevin Brooks of Boaz, Grandchildren: Kyle Brooks, Kathryn Beth Brooks, Laura June Whitmire, Jack Whitmire and Kori Ellen Brooks, Sister: Peggy Thomas of Albertville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife: June Whitmire, Brother: Terry Whitmire and Sister: Lois Kilpatrick.
The military will serve as Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearer will be Charles Terrell.
