Funeral Services for John Thomas Phillips are set for Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 2:00pm at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with burial at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5:00pm-8:00pm and Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 11:00am until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Phillips was born November 13, 1932 and passed away on May 24, 2015 at his home. He was a retired factory worker and of the non denominational faith. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Dorothy M. Phillips of Corinth; his sons, Donnie Phillips and wife Maxine of Pontotoc; Ronnie Phillips of Pontotoc and Kenny Phillips and wife Teresa of Pontotoc; his daughters, Sheila Roberts and husband Tommy of Baldwyn and Martha Irby of Saltillo, MS; his step son, Bill Maricle and wife Lana of Hampton VA; his step daughters, Sherry Porterfield of Booneville; Alissa Reynolds and husband Tim of Burnsville; Tonia Fowler and husband Lane of Corinth; Margaret Smith of Kossuth; 7 grandchildren, tommy Phillips and wife Tracy, Jamie Phillips and wife Freda, Karmandy Yates and husband Cliff, Lenita Cobbs and husband Brandon, Andy Roberts and wife Courtney, Nicole Cook and husband Adam and Justin Irby; 12 step grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 10 step great grandchildren; brother, Joe Lee Phillips and wife Barbara of Burnsville; Bertha Williams of Burnsville; other realtives and and host of friends. Mr Philips is preceded in death by his son, Johnny Phillips, 1 great grandchild; his father, Albert Phillips; mother, Clemmie Phillips; brothers, Leonard Phillips and Melvin Phillips; his sisters, Geneva Maricle and Louella Knox.
