John Thomas “J.T” Williams, 77, formerly of Florence, Ala., departed this life Sunday at home in Syracuse, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Cornelia and Dixie Cole Sr.; his wife, Nannie M. Williams; and one son, Ronald K. Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memory four children, John Isaac Williams (Cheryl D.), of Omaha, Neb., Deborah N. Williams-Pearson (Peter), Glenn D. Williams (Zona), and Sabrena L. Williams, all of Syracuse, N.Y.; three brothers, Peter Anderson (Barbara), of Dewitt, N.Y., James Cole (Geraldine), and Dixie Cole, Jr. (Osieola), both of Syracuse, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a host of loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday at Belle Grove MBC, 219 W. Castle St., Syracuse, NY 13205, with funeral services to follow at noon. Entombment will follow in Oakwood Mausoleum. Garland Bros. Funeral Home, 143 W. Castle St., Syracuse, NY 13205, 315-475-0285, has charge of arrangements.
