Funeral service for John Thad Chambers, 88, of Decatur will be Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at 7 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be Friday, June 5, 2015, in Westview Cemetery, Sweetwater, TN.
Mr. Chambers died Saturday, May 30, 2015, at his residence. He was born June 27, 1926, in North Carolina to James Henry Chambers and Eva Marie Beck.
He is survived by one son, Henry Chambers of Decatur; one stepson, C.C. Barnette of Decatur; two grandsons, James Chambers (Kasmine) of Trinity and Joe Chambers (Rachel) of Decatur; and two great-grandchildren, Elysa Chambers and Ileana Chambers.
