Funeral services for Mr. John Samuel Temple, age 87, will be Saturday September 21, 2024, at 2pm in the chapel of Shelton Funeral Home with Tim Fuqua officiating with burial to follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am until service time in the chapel.
Mr. Temple, a veteran of the Air Force and retired owner and operator of a trucking company, passed away peacefully at his home in Trenton, TN.
Mr. Temple was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Margaret Rebecca (Criswell) Temple, and his brother, David Anderson Temple.
Mr. Temple is survived by his three daughters, Carol Lockard of Milan, TN, Rebecca Smith of Kenton, TN, and Amy Davidson of Greenfield, TN; his son, John Mark Temple of Trenton, TN; eight grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
