John Robert Starks, age 78, of Sheffield, died Monday, April 15, 2013. He was a native of Paducah, Kentucky and a veteran, serving in the Air Force during the Korean War.
Survivors include his son, Robert Starks and wife Kathy of Tuscumbia; daughters, Rhonda Rutledge and husband Bobby, Sandra Hood and husband Patrick, all of Sheffield and Julie King and husband Devon of Muscle Shoals; his brother, Bill Starks of Bethel Springs, TN and sister, Melba McCanlis of North Carolina, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
