The funeral service for John Raymond Smith Jr., age 48 of Wedowee, will be held on Saturday June 2, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. Earl Lee and Bro. Robert Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope West Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Smith passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at his home. A native of Torrance, California and a former resident of Anniston, he had lived in Randolph County for the past 22 years. Mr. Smith was employed by Royster Enterprise as a truck driver and was known as a “Jack of all trades and Master of none”.
He is survived by his wife, Dana M. Smith of Wedowee; two daughters: Michelle Lee (Scott) and Summer Smith, both of Lineville; two sisters: Sandra Vickery (Ron) of Rainbow City and Mary Walker of Tallasee; two grandchildren: Tyler and Hunter Lee and a large extended family.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents: John Raymond Smith Sr. and Sonia Gayle Little Smith and two grandchildren: Cooper Blake Lee and Infant Baby Lee.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 until service time at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
