John Ray Montgomery, 77, of Athens, passed away Sunday, May 12th, 2024, at Floyd E. “Tut” Fann Home. He was born August 5th, 1946, in Nashville, Tennessee, to James and Hazel (Norman) Montgomery.
Mr. Montgomery is survived by his son John Montgomery of Decatur, AL; brothers James Montgomery of Apopka, FL, and Jessie Montgomery of Athens, AL; sisters Linda Benko of Glenwood, IL, and Juanita Kljajich of Crown Point, IN; mother Hazel Montgomery of Athens, AL; and several nephews and nieces.
He is preceded by his father James Montgomery; and brother Jeffrey Montgomery.
