John Raney, 53, of Florence, passed away February 14, 2023. A graduate of Birmingham Southern College, he was a master craftsman.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be Darrell Higgins.
Mr. Raney was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stokley Crabtree; and Mr. and Mrs. Rayford Raney.
He is survived by his wife Christa Higgins Raney; mother, Cheryl Raney; father, Jerry Raney; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Darlene and Merrill Higgins; daughter, Stokley Elizabeth Raney; sons, Rayford Jack Raney and John Rowan Raney; brother, Jay Raney (Kristi); sister, Robyn Sherrod (Hank); brother-in-law, Darrell Higgins (Michelle); and sister-in-law, Tanya Sutton (Tim); and numerous nieces and nephews.
