John Randy Sells, age 65, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born and reared in Henderson the son of the late John David and Joann Hart Sells. He attended Chester County Schools.
He worked at Olean Tile in Jackson, A&A Express, and later for Grissom Farms. He married June Mooney in 1998 and they made their home at Mifflin.
He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
He enjoyed drag racing, car shows, and going to the river. He had coached Dixie Youth ball.
He is survived by his wife; June Mooney Sells, four sons; Joe Sells (Briley) of Jackson, Shane Clayton (Tina) of Henderson, Brandon Sells (Mary) of Jackson, and Justin Clayton (Jennifer) of Henderson; special daughter, Felicia Carter of Savannah; sister, Sheila Bedwell of North Carolina; and seven grandchildren; Jayce, Aria, Sarah, Laila, Corbin, Angel, and Jacob.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Glenn Harris and Joey Harris officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM service time on Saturday.
