John Price Profile Photo John Price, lovingly known to many as a playful prankster, antique car enthusiast, and devoted family man, passed away on May 20th, 2023. He was 75 years old, having lived a full life that was dedicated to his work and the people he loved.

Born on December 21st, 1947 in Selmer, TN to Arvy D. and Ollie Bell Smith Price, John learned the value of hard work from an early age. He spent over four decades at the sawmill, most of which were spent logging. Despite facing the challenging demands of his job, John remained lighthearted and always enjoyed making those around him smile.

He was united in marriage to Patsy Graham Price who passed away on May 15th, 1998. On September 15th, 1999 he married Maggie Burns.

When he wasn’t working at the mill, John enjoyed indulging his passions for antique cars shows and drag racing. He shared a deep bond with his mother over their shared love for wrestling. Even after she passed away he continued to watch every match avidly. As a coach in Todd’s little league baseball team for several years he found joy in teaching the next generation.

On May 20th, Mr. Price departed from this earthly life in Corinth, Mississippi. In addition to his wife, Maggie Price of Selmer TN; John is survived by his son, Todd Price and wife Cindy of Flowood MS; a sister, Quinice Tull of Selmer TN; an aunt, Jo Edna “Aunt Sis” Howell of Hornsby TN; granddaughter, Hannah Alexander of Savannah TN; two great grandchildren; two step-granddaughters, Lindsay Cash of Flowood MS and Veronica Kennon of Flowood MS; two step-great-grandchildren, Rylee Coffey and Cash Moore; and a host of extended family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Patsy Graham Price, three brothers, Melvin Price and wife Joyce, Ernest Price and wife Betty, Larry Price and wife Linda, as well as his brother-in-law, Leo Tull.

John’s legacy will live on in the many lives he touched with his playful spirit, compassionate heart, and love for life.
