John “PJ” Crow was born May 16, 1936 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late John “Tarzan” and Lucinda “Cindy” Cummings Crow. He was a member of the Adamsville Church of God of Prophecy in Adamsville, Tennessee. PJ lived with Mary Louise Crow who was his caretaker up until January 2016. Then he moved in with Glenda and Jeff Pyron of Adamsville. He enjoyed going to church, talking to people, taking walks and going out to eat. Mr. Crow departed this life on March 2, 2017 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 9 Months, 14 Days.
He is survived by a sister, Faye Thacker South of Burnsville, MS; nieces and nephew: Glenda Pyron and husband Jeff, Joyce Richardson and husband Steve, Anita Mosier, Angela Nowlin and husband Tim, Mary Diane Winters and companion Vince, Joy McAfee and husband Tony, Willie D. Thacker Jr.; special family, Johnny M. and Rose Cotner of Adamsville, TN; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Crow was preceded in death by a sister, Opal Mae Crow; two brothers, Raymond and James Norman Crow; sister-in-law, Mary Louise Crow.
