TUSCUMBIA-The opening reception for the latest exhibit ‘Captivating Armor’ at the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art in Tuscumbia took place on March 24. The community got to meet and greet artist John Petrey and see his sculptures of clothing made from bottle caps, roofing nails, old gas pricing signs, fire sprinkler discs and other finds. The exhibit runs through Friday May 10th. The Quad Cities Daily was on hand for the opening reception and had fun watching patrons looking down the dresses trying to figure out how the various materials were attached and put together.
