John Paul Jones, age 70, resident of Goodspring, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 29 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
A memorial service for John Paul will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Giles County with Donnie Noble officiating. Heritage Funeral of Columbia is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born March 21, 1948 in Giles County, he was the son of the late Smith Waters Jones and the late Hattie Mae Craig Jones. He worked several jobs in the area, with his last job as a route carrier for the US Postal Service for 16 years. He liked to go fishing, do color pencil drawing, listening to gospel music, visit with people and telling old stories. He loved anything to do with John Deere tractors.
John Paul is survived by his sister: Barbara DiStephano of Goodsring and a host of nieces and nephews.
