Funeral service for John Michael Wever, 25, will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Thweat officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Wever died on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born December 1, 1993, in Daytona Beach, Florida to Douglas Wever and Kristine Ericson Putman. He was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his grandparents: Emmett and Teresa Wever.
At this moment, we are remembering John Wever. We are remembering John for the purity of his heart, his unwavering commitment to be true to himself, and for the immeasurable Joy he provided to those close to him. John loved with unmatched intensity, and he displayed compassion for other people and animals in ways most cannot fathom. The best parts of John will live on through his mother, father, sisters, brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will remember him with the sweetest affection. John stood out with a brightness, and we would all agree that we will never find another like him. The best we can do is try to understand that John was born a ramblin’ man. Romans 8:18
