John Michael Weatherford, 36, resident of Columbia, died Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at his residence.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday, December 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. The family suggest memorials may be made online to Place of Hope at placeofhopetn.com. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.
Born May 12, 1988 in Maury County, TN, he was the son of Tina Martin Weatherford and Dennis Weatherford. John was a 2007 graduate of Columbia Central High School, was an electrician by trade, and loved older model cars. John was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Jadon Michael Weatherford; brothers, Benjamin Weatherford, and Daniel Weatherford; maternal grandmother, Harriett Martin McCord; aunts and uncles, Buddy Martin, Janice (Bill) Stanfill, Ben Martin, Diane Cole; nephews, Tyler and Trenton Weatherford; several cousins; and friends of the Recovery Center in Lawrenceburg.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alfred Martin Sr.; and paternal grandparents, Ray and Joann Weatherford.
Active pallbearers will be Buddy Martin, Ben Martin, Chance Martin, Blaise Martin, Troy Maupin, and Derrick McCord.
