John Michael DePriest, 75, of Florence, passed away January 28, 2022. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Florence, a previous member of the Knights of Columbus, and a volunteer for the Lauderdale County District Attorney’s office.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 203 Plum Street Florence, AL 35630. A Mass of Christian burial will be at the church on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Father Joseph officiating. Visitation in Evansville, IN, will be Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. at Zeimer’s East Funeral Home at 800 S. Hebron Avenue, Evansville, IN 47714. A family graveside ceremony will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Evansville, Indiana on Monday, February 7, 2022. Pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus: Jonathan Koskey, Matthew Connolly, Bill Connolly, Frank Wall, J. P. Stewart, Ron Brumbalow, Donnie Burns, and Bill Evans.
Mr. DePriest was preceded in death by his son, Jon Daniel DePriest; daughter, Kateri Lynn DePriest; and parents, John Edward DePriest and Mary Ellen (Peyton) DePriest.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie (Hess) DePriest of Florence; daughter, Deniece Moody (Richard) of Madison; grandson, Dallas Moody of Madison; and sister, Debbie Alexander (Robert) of Evansville, IN.
