Funeral service for John McCaghren, 84, will be Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Enon Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Keenum, Bro. Steve Ledbetter and Bro. Phil Waldrop officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.
Mr. McCaghren died on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at NHC Healthcare. He was born January 11, 1931, in Lawrence County to Robert Lee McCaghren and Lillie Mayfield McCaghren . He was a boxmaker for Wolverine Tube prior to his retirement. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. McCaghren was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Keenum McCaghren, his parents, five brothers, and one sister.
