John Martin Tacker Oct. 21, 1944 – March 22, 2025

John M. Tacker passed away due to a long-extended illness on March 22, 2025. He was 80 years old.

He lived a long life, full of love and adventure. He would give his last to anyone that needed it. He lived life to the fullest, taking risk, traveling the world. He started driving an 18-wheeler with Troxel in Moscow, Tn. He then went on to drive for many years with Ozark Motor lines in Memphis, TN. He had his own special way of making sure his children knew he loved them. Every time he left to go out on the road, he would make a circle with his fingers that meant never-ending love. He loved wrestling and singing his old country songs. He was definitely a jokester. He was loved by so many.

John is preceded in death by his wife of many years, Janice D. Tacker. His parents, Gordon and Ruth Tacker. As well as his brothers, Winston T. Tacker and Gordon Tacker, Jr.

He is survived by his children, Linda Tacker McCaig, Martie Tacker Moxley. His stepchildren, Angela Vandiver, Tommy Foster. Grandchildren – Diana, Dean, Monica, Justin, Dylan. Step grandchildren, Randy, Tyler, Mariah, Brianna. Step great grandchildren, Zoey, Jazzalyn, M.J.

Rest in peace Gunslinger, your job here is done.
