Mr. John Larry Lemons Jr. of the Joppa and Arab Communities; passed away on Saturday – October 3, 2020 at the age of 73 years.
Mr. Lemons was born on June 24, 1947 to John Lester and Mary Elizabeth Lassetter Lemons in Marshall County, Alabama. Mr. Lemons attended Jefferson State in his earlier year receiving his masters in carpentry going forth to be an entrepreneur working in construction and owning several gas stations. Mr. Lemons is formerly of the Fry Gap and Hartselle areas and attended the Redan Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing, any sporting events affiliating with Auburn, playing guitar, singing, dancing and watching his grandchildren play ball and he was a very big Trump supporter.
Mr. Lemons will be forever remembered by his son, Patrick C. Lemons (Krisa); brothers, Steven Lemons (Janette), Lynn Lemons (Paula) and Dwight Lemons; sisters, Kathy Griggs and Martha Beal (BJ); grandchildren, CesleyBoen (Connor), Gunner Lemons (Savannah), Logan Lemons, Kassie Whitaker and Kevin Whitaker; great grandchildren, RipkynBoen, Trot Boen, Brodie Lemons, Nora Lemons, Russell Whitaker and Colton Whitaker.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lemons is at last reunited with his son, John Wesley Lemons; grandchild, Nikolas Maze; great grandchildren, Landon and Nolan Maze.
The Lemons Family will be hosting a ‘Celebration of Life’ in honor of their beloved Mr. John Larry Lemons on a later date.
