John L Kirby, 83, of Huntsville AL passed away May 17, 2023.
John (Pops) was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and
friend to many.
John leaves behind the love of his life for almost 58 years, his wife Judy, sons Jonathan (Shelli) and Jeff (Helen), grandchildren Emily, Victoria, Jeffrey and Nicole, sister Martha (Mike) and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Opal, brother Billy and sister Sarah.
A “people person” ( a trait he passed on to both his sons) it was unusual when you were out in the community with Pops if he didn’t run into someone he knew, and a story would follow. His time in the Army, RFCU, Nationwide Insurance and running his automobile dealership had one thing in common, he loved the people he connected with. His friendship and guidance will be missed by many.
The family wished to thank Hospice Family Care for their loving support of our family during Pops short stay.
The family will be receiving friends Saturday May 20th at Berryhill Funeral Home from 12:00 to 1:30 PM. A memorial service will follow at 1:30 PM in the Chapel with Dr. Robert A. White Jr officiating. Military Honors will follow at Locust Grove Baptist Church in New Market AL.
