John L. Bright Jr. (Sonny) Of Guntersville, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the age of 81, after a battle with Parkinsons and Dementia. He served in the Alabama Army National Guards for 13 years. He retired from the Guntersville Electric Board in 2004 after 35 years of service. He loved Alabama Football and working in the yard. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Wanda Ayers Bright. Daughters; Cynthia Ledbetter (Ryan), and Teri Whitehead (Randy), Granddaughters; Emily Fegeley (Alex), Sarah Campbell (Will Sanderson), Haley Ledbetter (Drew Brown), and Megan Hodges (Rodney). Three great grandchildren, nephew, Mike Hall and a host of friends and relatives. Mr. Bright was proceeded in death his parents; John L. and Ida Bright and son; Doug Campbell. Visitation will be at Guntersville Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 6pm-8pm and the funeral will be Thursday, November 14 at 10am at Guntersville Memorial Chapel with burial following the service at Marshall Memory Gardens Pallbearers will be Jonah Hall, Mathu Hall, Rodney Hodges, Drew Brown, Alex Fegeley, and Will Sanderson
