John Kevin Farley, 49, Tuscumbia, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Visitation will be Sunday, June 2, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Monday, June 3, in the funeral home chapel, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Chaplain Netherly officiating. Interment will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Kevin was a veteran of the US Army National Guard, serving three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan with the 115th Signal Battalion in Haleyville, and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was employed at Life Data Labs, owned by Ms. Lynda. Kevin was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and play guitar. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lylah White; father, Billie “Cotton” Farley; and son-in-law, Shane Kelsoe.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Paula Ranee Farley; children, Chelsea Kelsoe, Matthew Wallace, Vanessa Meador (Ray), Krissy Wallace (Kyle), and Katie Medley (Daekon Sherrill); mother, Lillie Coons; brothers, Steve Farley, Mark Farley (Paula), and Joe Farley (Rosie); and grandchildren, Preston White, Karson White, Malakai Meador, Kolten Medley, and Scarlett Medley.
