John Kenneth Fox – Obituary

John Kenneth Fox , age 62, of Athens, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Huntsville Hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Lawrence County, Tenn., retired TVA security manager and a member and Deacon of New Life Assembly of God Church in Athens, Ala. He obtained his associate degree in Secondary Education at Columbia State Community College and attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for 3 1/2 years. He was an avid Tennessee Fan.

Graveside Services will be held at Mimosa Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. Brother James Turner & Pastor Rob Phraner will be officiating. Burial will follow in Mimosa Cemetery. There will be visitation at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, from noon to 1:00 p.m.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at New Life Assembly of God Church in Athens.

Survivors are his

wife of 42 years, LaWanda Isbell Fox, Athens, Ala.;

one son, Kenneth E. Fox, Athens, Ala.;

one brother, Jerry T. Fox and wife, Linda, Saint Joseph, Tenn.;

two sisters, Kathy L. Barnett and husband, Dale, Center Hill, Ala. and Becky Pettus and husband, Henry, Lexington, Ala.;

Brother-in-law, Terry R. Isbell, Athens, Ala.;

Special extended family, Aaron and Heather Glad and children, Matt and Gretchen Wade and children;

three nephews;

four nieces;

His companion, his Black Lab, Cassie

Pallbearers will be Donnie Robinson, J. D. Jones, Virgil Ashley, John Morrow,

Aaron Glad, James Brazell, Matt Wade and Brian Davidson

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronny LeCroy, Justin Isbell and Roger Bailey.

Loretto Memorial Chapel is in charge of all arrangements.
