John J. Pickens, age 75, of Florence, passed away Thursday, August 02, 2012. Visitation will be Saturday, August 4th from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with Chris Nichols officiating. Pallbearers are his grandchildren.
He was of the Baptist faith and was owner and operator of Superior Tool and Die Company of Florence.
Survivors are his wife, Vernette Pickens; children, Debbie Dinges (Robert), Randy Pickens (special friend, Lynda) and Vickie Nichols (Chris); brother, Perry Pickens; fifteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
