Mr. John Hull Kerr Jr. John Hull Kerr, Jr., of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on April 19, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on March 9, 1943, to the late John Hull Kerr, Sr., and Mary Jo Moore Kerr, he leaves behind a legacy of passion, kindness, and love.
John was known for his graceful moves on the dance floor, a true aficionado of ballroom dancing. His love for the art extended beyond mere enjoyment; he found fulfillment in competing, showcasing his skill and dedication. His elegance and enthusiasm illuminated every dance floor he graced.
He is survived by his sister, Aven Kerr, who shared many cherished memories with him. Additionally, he leaves behind cousins Joel Hood (Michele) and Sharon Rodatz (Bill), who will forever hold him dear in their hearts. John’s aunt, Lucy Moore, mourns his passing alongside his extended family. Among his special circle of friends, Kim and Clay Powell held a significant place in John’s heart.
A graveside service to honor and celebrate John’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery on Hustleville Road. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fairview Cemetery perpetual care fund, ensuring that the place John found solace and peace remains cared for in perpetuity.
