Mr. John Henry Cole, Jr., age 73 of Vernon, AL, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. Cole was born March 22, 1947, in Vernon, AL, to the late John Henry Cole, Sr. and Ruby Lee Cole. He was a lineman for the telephone company, and was also preceded in death by his grandson, Eric Nathaniel Linsey, and his brother, Freddie Mac Cole.
Funeral services will be Friday at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Bro. James Godsey officiating. Burial will follow at the Lovejoy Cemetery in Detroit. Visitation will be Friday 2:00-3:00 prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Cole of Vernon, AL; three daughters, Tammy (Daniel) Welch of Vernon, AL, Tina (Bill) Allen of Georgia and Tonya Cole of Georgia; one son, John Cole of Vernon, AL; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one granddaughter, Tristin Owen.
