John H. Wallace, age 78, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at Decatur Morgan Main. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Shaw Cemetery, Leighton, Alabama, with Mark Posey officiating.
Mr. Wallace was born Dec. 11, 1937, to Bernard Wallace and Velma Inez Wallace in Rogersville. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Wallace.
Mr. Wallace is survived by son, Rick Wallace (Sheila), of Decatur; three daughters, Deedra Ludvigson (Douglas), of Georgia, Kim Smith, of Decatur, and Anita Holt (Vic), of Hartselle; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
