Memorial service for John Gregory Speake, age 59, of Decatur, will be Monday, March 9, 2015, 6:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dallas Culver officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service.
Mr. Speake, who died Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born April 26, 1955, in Decatur, to John L. Speake and Peggy Rainey Speake. He was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Harold Speake.
He is survived by his wife, June Reid Speake of Decatur; one son, John Eric Speake of Decatur; one daughter, Nicole Speake of Chicago, IL; and his mother, Peggy Speake of Decatur; four brothers-in-law, John Reid (Stacey), George Reid (Melanie), Fred Reid (Joan), and Joey Reid; and a host of nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
