John Gordon Snyder age 81, of Muscle Shoals, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013. Visitation will be Sunday, September 22 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Spry~Williams Funeral Home of Florence, service following at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, and burial at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. John was a member of South Highland Baptist, retired from Reynolds Metals as a Machinist and a self-employed truck driver. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran during the Korean War and a Mason. Survivors are his wife, Norma Carolyn Snyder; daughters, Norma Patterson (Walter), and Carol Hartung (Rick); sister, Jerri Meadows; brother, Roger Snyder; grandchildren, Jonathan Patterson, Kimberly Butler (Scott), and Carrie Sparks; great-grandchildren, Emily Butler, Eli Butler, and Benjamin Patterson.
