John G. Lambert, 78, resident of Ashland, passed away peacefully Monday July 3, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loved ones as they sang “Amazing Grace”.

Mr. Lambert’s service will be private. Ripley Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Born February 28, 1945, Mr. Lambert was the son of the late Gaston Ralph and Helen Jones Lambert. He received his education in the Tennessee Public School System and was a hard worker, who was employed with local construction companies and electrical jobs here in Ripley.

A Christan, Mr. Lambert loved Gods creation and found joy in fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles. He was known for his simple lifestyle and would give you the shirt off his back. Mr. Lambert was a good man whose legacy of hard work, kindness, and great personality will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be missed greatly, and we find comfort knowing he is truly experiencing the greatness of his Lord and Savoir.

Those left to cherish memories include one daughter, Teresa Lambert (Danny Massengill), two sons, John Jeff Lambert (Amanda) and Michael Lambert, one brother, Barron Lambert, the mother of his children, Sarah Nyleen Lambert, seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

He is also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

We invite you to share memories with the family
