John Fletcher Pierce Jr., 94, of Decatur passed away Saturday at his residence.
Mr. Pierce was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Pierce; and one son, Jerry Pierce.
Survivors include his daughter, Joan Cockrell and husband Jack; two step daughters, Linda Wilbanks and husband Lloyd, Gail White and husband Ernie; step son, Edward Tallent and wife Beverly; two grandsons, Mark Goosby and Jerry “P-Nut” Pierce; four step grandchildren; and one brother, Howard Pierce.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a chapel service at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. C.B. Jones and the Rev. Harold Fanning officiating. Burial will follow in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
