John Elmer Autrey, 79 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at his home.
Born Friday, February 23, 1934 in Elkmont, Alabama, he was the son of the late Earl Milford Autrey and the late Elsie Ward Autrey. He was the husband of the late Martha Barnes Autrey. He was also preceded in death by a grandson: Scotty Haggermaker. He was a lifelong resident of this area and enjoyed fixing lawn mowers and watching westerns.
Surviving are daughters, Martha Ann Autrey of Ardmore, AL, Kimberly Ferguson of Taft, TN, Teresa Poarch of Arkansas, and Carolyn Marks of Taft, TN, brothers, Neil Autrey of Arizona, George Autrey of Spokane, WA and Roy Autrey of Ardmore, AL, sisters Mary Ann of Arkansas and Coy Jean of Texas, 11 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild.
Funeral Services will be Friday, March 15, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Amos Conley officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2013, from 12 noon until service time.
