John Dow Copeland of Waynesboro, TN was born July 24, 1921 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late William Wright and Mamie McClearen Copeland. He was united in marriage to Juanita Warren on August 12, 1946.
Mr. Copeland had lived in Michigan and was a retired machine operator from General Motors. He was a United States Air Force veteran of WW II and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Copeland departed this life on Monday, October 1, 2012 at his home at the age of 91 Years, 2 Months, 7 Days.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Warren Copeland of Waynesboro, TN; a son, Keith Copeland of Waynesboro, TN; two daughters, Pamela Copeland of Mc Minnville, TN and Johnnie Sue Copeland Rohraff of Westland, MI; grandchildren, Donnie Rohraff, Joey Rohraff, Alyssa McCoy; great- grandchildren, Jordan Rohraff, Dallas Rohraff.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Copeland; three sisters, Mattie Holt, Gladys Goodman, Anne Stewart.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Masonic Rites. Burial with military rites will follow in the Choate-Copeland Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Jeff Howell, Don Warren, Donnie Rohraff, Joey Rohraff, Ray Rohraff, and Keith Copeland.
