Mr. John David McVay was born on November 5, 1944, and passed away on August 17, 2020, and is under the care of Kilgore-Green Funeral Home.
John served faithfully as a deacon at New Prospect Baptist Church; he was a Master Mason and Shriner. He loved old tractors, trucks, and trains.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, LaMerle McVay; daughters, April McVay and Heidi Hale (Mike), favorite grandson; U.S. Army SFC. Jonathon Dodson; favorite granddaughter, Samantha Rigsby (Tyler); great-grandchildren; Hannah Beth, Kamdon, Wyatt, Aurora Jane, Garrett, and Baby Oliver (coming in Dec.) and a host of friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or New Prospect Baptist Church Food Closet.
