Mr. John David Horton, 54, of Scottsboro, AL, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020 at home. Mr. Horton was born September 13, 1965 in Coffee County, Georgia.
A private memorial service will be held for family only.
Mr. Horton was preceded in death by his father, David Wayne Horton.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Joann Horton of Scottsboro, AL; sons, Joshua Horton and Christopher (Courtney) Stephens; two grandchildren, Caden Stephens and Chloe Stephens; mother, Jane Horton of Broxton, GA; sister, Julie Southerland of Nicholls, GA; two brothers, Mark (Karen) Horton of Jekyll Island, GA and Matthew Horton of Douglas, GA; three nephews, Jerad (Samantha) Horton of Douglas, GA, Cody (Cassidy) Horton of Seattle, WA, Garrett Southerland of Nicholls, GA; and one niece, Lexie Southerland of Nicholls, GA.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, a great mechanic, and he cherished his family and friends.
