John Dale McCutcheon passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1948, in Morgan County, to Quel Benson McCutcheon and Willie Pearl Owen McCutcheon.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 5:00pm at Nature’s Trail Church with Brother Johnny Maxwell officiating.
Dale was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam war and served as a logistics coordinator. Dale worked at 3M for 32 years before retiring. Despite an early retirement, his work did not end there. He served the Community through several volunteer positions, one such as Somerville Civitan Club, where they built wheel chair ramps and bus stops for community members in need. He also served his community by volunteering at the Soggy Bottom Barn where he worked the smoker and aided in the kitchen.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Sisters – Margaret Wright

Six Grandchildren
In lieu of flowers, family asks that memorial donations be made to your local VFW or American Legion Post or to St. Jude’s Cildrens Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held by the family at a later date.
